The Easy eBook quickstart is complete with 6 chapters. The first chapter is available while the rest of the chapters are gated. Viewers will need to fill out a form to unlock the rest of the chapters. Each page includes a bottom navigation that can go between the previous page and the next page. And each chapter includes different interactive elements fit for a large amount of content, such as: reveals, accordions and tabs. At the end of the experience, the viewers can contact your company if they want to speak with a representative.

Features available

Here are the major features, abilities, and interactive elements used in this template.

Animation

Animation will allow you to animate elements via microthemes. A use case for this would be to have a section fade up and into a page via scroll.

Reveal

Reveal will allow you to create two-state interactive content. A use case for this would be an information tooltip, where in one state an information icon is seen but when hovered or clicked on, a second state is shown displaying the tooltip text.

Lightbox

Lightbox will allow you to create pop-up windows on your page via click or on page load. A use case for this would a video lightbox displaying a video in a pop-up window in the center of the screen when a button or link is clicked on to play the video.

Form

Form will allow you to build simple to complex forms that contain different types of inputs and toggles, and can be combined with rules to create logic based results. Use cases for a Form are quizzes, assessments, calcuators, and traditional forms.

Accordion

Accordion will allow you to organize content vertically into separate sections that expand and contract when clicked on. A use case for this would be to create a FAQ of product or service related questions, where each accordion label would have it's own questions and the answer within the accordion section.

Tabs

Tabs will allow you to organize content into separate tabs vertically or horizontally. A use case for this would be to create a timeline of events organized by dates, where each tab label would have it's own date and list of events within the tab section.

How-to use

Here is a helpful guide on how to handle all the major features, abilities, and interactive elements available to make the most out of this template.
To edit or add a new animation, select the element on the canvas that you want to animate.
Under the Animation tab, choose an animation Trigger from the dropdown menu. If you want a certain animation to continuously loop, you will need to choose from the list of Scroll always animations in addition to the Looping animation.

After selecting the animation Trigger, choose an animation from the list.

To edit the Lightbox, begin by selecting it on the canvas.

To edit the settings, expand the Content tab. Here you can edit the type of content the Lightbox will open.

In this example, the Lightbox is opening a URL. Click into the URL to edit the actions. The action is currently set to go to the Form page in the creative.
You can edit the design of the lightbox by clicking into the Design tab. A list of design settings can be adjusted here.

Select the Accordion on the canvas to edit the content within it.

You can edit the functionality of the accordion by expanding the settings  tab under the Variables panel. This is also where you can tag each section of the accordion when it is expanded.

You can edit the accordion titles by selecting them directly on the canvas or expanding the Sections under the Variables panel.

Once the section is expanded, you can select the text box to edit the copy.

To edit the contents within the Tabs, first select it on the canvas.

Under the Variables panel, you can choose the tabs to be Responsive and whether you wish to Tag tab clicks.

You can edit the tab titles by selecting them on the canvas or expanding them under the Variables panel.

To change the Reveal settings, begin by selecting it on the canvas. This will open the reveal settings under the Variables panel.

You can choose the Reveal type and the Reveals when settings along with the Position and assign Tags when revealed.

To edit the transition style, open the Micro-themes dropdown and select Reveal.

Then select the transition type from the list. 

To change a field on the Form, select the Form element on the canvas.

Select the Textbox within the Form field and click on the container under the Data Field panel on the right.

Select a new Data Field from the list then press OK.

To change the copy within the Textbox, expand the Pre-Populated Value tab under the Variables panel. 

 

Change the copy by clicking on the Placeholder Text container.

Best practices

Be sure to tag everything that is "taggable" so that you are able to review everything at a later time in your reports.

Before going live with your experience, you want to run a final proofing process. This will review the experience as a whole, with any final revisions necessary. Here is the most important items to be reviewed before GoLive:

  • Review of any integrations
  • Review of conversion point
  • Review of tagging
  • External links are working correctly (opening in a new window)
  • Mark respondents as always new if used for conference or live event
  • Uncheck the robot meta directives (no archive, no follow, no index)
  • Remove path description (if applicable)
  • Make sure traffic source has been added to social share — og URL, twitter (create bit.ly), email share
  • Once live, debug on Facebook (if applicable)
